Muhammed's Story
On October 11th, 2024, at just 21 years of age, Muhammed Badjie, a beloved brother, friend, and radiant soul, passed away after a courageous battle with Bone Cancer. He fought valiantly, treatment after treatment, never losing the light that made him so special. Though he is no longer with us, his presence endures; his spirit continues to shine through everyone who knew him and everything this foundation stands for.
His future and legacy continues with the foundation. Muhammed was more than a name; he was a movement in himself that everyone around him basked in. A pivotal member of his community, who was such a beautiful soul, always there for those he loved and others. A cherished part of his family. A bright force who lit up every room he entered.
Known to many as MB, he lived with an ever-present smile and a deep love for football. Whether playing or cheering from the sidelines, the game was his joy, and now, it is our tool to carry his legacy forward.
MB’s Light Foundation was created in his honour, a foundation rooted in love, unity, and purpose.
We exist not just to remember him, but to live inspired by him.
Through this movement, we aim to raise awareness about cancer, support individuals and families affected by it, and use football as a tool to bring people together and create a lasting impact.
