Judith's story

Told by her children

Judith, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was happily retired and enjoyed filling her time with regular fitness classes, socializing, hosting family get-togethers, and holidays, and generally being very busy with one thing or another, she was very fit and active.

In March 2023 she had started to complain about some back pain, and what she thought was sciatica pain. The pain became more intense and started to affect her mobility. No one ever expected to find the source of this pain was multiple tumours on her spine. By the time Mum was admitted to hospital in early April, it was already too late for treatment, Mum was in a great deal of pain, and her health was declining.

She passed away peacefully at home on the 28th of May 2023, just nine weeks after her initial pain symptoms.

During her life, Judith always loved to help other people out in whatever way she could.

Whether it be family members, friends, neighbours or acquaintances if she could help someone then she would.

So it seems a fitting tribute for us to remember her in this way and raise funds for Bone Cancer Research Trust.
